Global domain registration assistance
Securing a domain name, in some cases is not as simple as it seems, especially if the domain name is available and then is required to buy it through the corresponding registry that owns that domain extension.
Some registries will only allow you to purchase domain names with particular suffixes if you meet certain requirements. For example, at present you are only allowed to purchase a .cn domain name if you live in China or if your company has a local office there.
There are also other types of restrictions for various suffixes, some of which are listed below:
- You can only register domain names which exactly match your trademarks
- Your technical servers must be based in the country of registration
NetNames is able to provide you with a wealth of information and advice about different restrictions.
In many cases we will also be able to help you secure domain names with the suffixes you require, despite the restrictions, because of the excellent relationships that we have with hundreds of registries across the globe.
