Saudi Arabia’s .sa domains enters Landrush on Monday 2 May 2011

The Landrush phase for the .sa domain will commence on Monday 2 May 2011, where any entity or individual can register a .sa domain on a first-come, first-served basis. Registrants can register a .sa domain without already having a corresponding third-level Saudi domain, or having the same administrative contact as the third-level domain.

The Saudi NIC may suspend transfers of .sa domains for a period up to 180 days following the start of the Landrush period. Exceptions are for domain names that are subject to orders of transfer pursuant to CITCs  Domain Name Objection Regulation or from any court of competent jurisdiction or a concerned official Saudi entity.
