NetNames speaking on new gTLDs at INTA conference

NetNames attends INTA 2013

The NetNames team is attending the INTA (International Trademark Association) conference in Dallas (US) this week.

INTA meetings happen once a year as the major meeting point for the world's trademark and Internet professionals. For NetNames, it is much an opportunity to meet with our clients and prospects to showcase our expertise and services we offer.

For us, it's also about helping pass on knowledge of the domain name system and how it impacts all of our lives. To this end, I represented NetNames at INTA and participated in a panel discussion on new gTLDs which was a great opportunity to update people that may not be familiar with this topic on its latest developments.

The session was entitled "Do We Have Launch? Assessment of the New gTLD Program" and covered the following topics:

  • Setting the stage – where we stand now

  • Impact on the industry.

  • The evolution of ICANN governance

  • Impact on the user.

  • Strategic take-aways for brands

The session was held in one of the venue's main auditoriums with several hundred people in attendance (INTA meetings generally run over 10,000 participants!). If the topics discussed are of interest to you or if you would like to know more, contact NetNames and one of our new gTLD experts will be glad to help.
