Background of .REISE

NetNames has been given notice that dotReise GmbH plan to open the .REISE new Top Level Domain registry on the 24th June 2014. The .REISE gTLD will be supported by NIC.AT as the back-end provider. The .REISE TLD will be an open registry and will offer the following registration periods:-

Trademark Sunrise1st July 2014 to 31st July 2014✔
General Availability6th August 2014✔

dotReise GmbH will be offering Sunrise registrations to all Trademark Clearinghouse (TMCH) verified mark holders on a first-come, first-serve basis. Sunrise orders can be placed via your NetNames Domain Management Portal or via your Account Manager. Should you still wish to place any trademarks with the TMCH, please contact your Account Manager.

dotReise will be not offering a traditional Landrush application period for non-TMCH registrants.

.REISE Information

Registration Info

  • The .REISE gTLD will be available to any applicant who are directly associated with the travel and tourism industry are eligible to register for the .REISE domain.
  • The content of the Websites with dotReise domains must feature a direct connection to the tourist industry. dotReise domains are to be activated within a period of six months.
  • Registrations can be for 3 to 63 characters
  • .REISE will not offer any initial IDN support.
  • .REISE is not eligible for blocking under any Domains Protected Marks List (DPML)
  • Applications made in the Trademark Sunrise phase will incur a one-off Sunrise Access fee which will be billed in the next invoice period and is non-refundable.
