NetNames has been given notice that IPLANRIO plan to open the General Availability phase of the .RIO new Top Level Domain registry on the 17th September 2015. The .RIO gTLD will be supported by NIC.BR as the back-end provider. The .RIO gTLD is a highly restricted geoTLD:
