Introduction to .SRL

NetNames has been given notice that InterNet X plan to open the .SRL new Top Level Domain registry on the 22nd September 2015. The .SRL gTLD will be supported by Afilias as the back-end provider. The .SRL TLD will be an open registry, restricted only by geography and will offer the following registration periods:


Trademark Sunrise22nd September 2015 to 22nd October 2015✔
General Availability26th October 2015✔

The registry will be offering Sunrise registrations to all Trademark Clearinghouse (TMCH) verified mark holders on a First-Come, First-Served basis. Sunrise orders can be placed via your NetNames Domain Management Portal or via your Account Manager. Should you still wish to place any trademarks with the TMCH, please contact your Account Manager.

The registry will not be offering a concurrent EAP/Landrush phase. 

Registration Info

  • Registrations can be for 3 to 63 characters;
  • .SRL will not support IDN registrations;
  • .SRL is not eligible for blocking under the Domains Protected Marks List (DPML) rights protection mechanism;
  • Applications made in the Trademark Sunrise will incur a one-off Access fee which will be billed in the next invoice period and is non-refundable.

New gTLD analysis report
