ICM Registry To Launch .Porn And .Adult In March

ICM Registry, the TLD operator for .xxx has announced that the Sunrise Period for .porn and .adult will commence on March 2nd 2015. In this First Come First Serve Sunrise (FCFS), Trademark Holders with valid TMCH registrations will be able to secure the corresponding names in this phase.

ICANN 52 Singapore

The Industry will again meet in Singapore during February. With further debate on the IANA transition and changes in policy, we expect ICANN 52 to be a busy meeting. NetNames will be preparing a post meeting report which will highlight all the changes NetNames customers need to be aware of.

Google Launches Google Domains

The Internet giant last month opened the doors to its new domain registration business. In addition to the new gTLD applications that Google made, high street customers can now purchase domains through a Beta service which is available to US-based registrants.

ICANN Speeding Up The New gTLD Delegation Process.

At the start of the New Year, ICANN cancelled some .BRAND applications due to the applicants not hitting certain milestones within the program. With some big brands penalized for not submitting extension requests or requested documentation, ICANN is definitely getting serious about closing out Round One.
