David Franklin is Global Director of Brand Protection at NetNames. Leading brands around the world partner with NetNames to be present, protected and prosperous on the Internet.
A senior executive with 30 years’ experience, Mr. Franklin has been with NetNames for 8 years. His day to day responsibilities include the global direction and leadership of NetNames’ Brand Protection services, which help clients to detect and remove online threats such as rogue websites, counterfeit goods, unauthorised trademark and logo use, fake social media accounts and fraudulent mobile apps.
Mr Franklin is a frequent and well-regarded speaker at conferences, runs a popular webinar series and is a member of Internet task forces at the UK Anti-Counterfeit Group and the International Anti-Counterfeit Coalition (IACC). He is often called upon by organisations such as the BBC as a subject matter expert on Internet-related matters. Mr. Franklin has a degree in Engineering from Cambridge University and also has a passion for playing jazz on the saxophone in his spare time.
